Tell us about what you do for business.
I currently work three very different jobs; im a banker at People’s United Bank, I work retail for Finish Line and am a server at Brothers Taverna. My full time job is at the bank, I help retail and business customers, open accounts, and help make sure that all customers are getting the best service and products for their needs. I’ve recently taken on the role of digital ambassador and am working with management to better online communications with customers.
Everyone’s got a story. Tell us about you (What’s your background? How did you get here? Where are you hopefully heading?).
My names Nicole, I’m from Somerville right outside of Boston and recently just graduated from Salem State University with a degree in international business and media communications. I grew up with a love for the city and the never ending adventure, chaos and opportunity that it brings. I’m 22 and am very ambitious to start on my journey as a young professional, I currently work in finance at People’s United Bank and hope to one day find a profession dealing with the ways that business people from across the world communicate with each other.
What motivates you (causes; any advocacy/activism/initiatives you’re working on, long-term goals, etc.)?
I’d have to say that new adventures motivate me, I stand by the idea that we learn the most from what we go through. Whether its meeting one new person or taking on a whole new part of the world I believe that if we don’t take these chances and try something new we wont grow as people. The idea of something new motivates me to get myself out there and try something different at least once a day.
Why are you joining The Next Gen Network?
I’m joining this network because I want to meet other professionals, being recently graduated I want the opportunity to network and meet people that can help me grow as a young professional starting out while also giving insight to others.
How do you want to grow your business?
