Kyle Buresh of The Glitter Boys

Tell us about what you do for business.

To put it simply, I am part of a an all vinyl DJ group called The Glitter Boys. We have a weekly residency at the Sinclair in Cambridge every Friday night. We DJ private events, weddings, and parties as well. Our specific brand of partying goes beyond the typical services a DJ provides, we are very interactive with the crowd, have an innate ability to get the party moving, and can acutely feel the pulse of the crowd. We’re professional party people.

Everyone’s got a story. Tell us about you.

I grew up in Stoughton, MA. From a very early age my parents introduced me to dance music and brought me to many parties. As I got older I picked up the bass guitar, and electric guitar and started writing and performing my own music in different bands. Being surrounded and immersed in different music genres and local music scenes allowed me to network and establish friendships with people who enjoyed having fun. Some friends and I started running a small DIY venue in Boston in 2013. For 3 years we hosted shows that featured local bands as well as national, and international touring acts on the bill. When our venue closed two of my good friends and I started taking our personal brand of partying into different clubs in the Boston area. We call ourselves The Glitter Boys, and we have been lighting up the dance floor since May of 2016.

What motivates you?

Community motivates me. My long-term goal would be to open a venue in which we could actively help foster a loving, caring, active community.

Why are you joining The Next Gen Network?

I think joining the The Next Gen Network would be a good opportunity to reach our collective goals.
