Tell us about what you do for business.
I handle most of the personal lines (auto, home, condo, apartment, personal umbrella, boat etc.) new business intake for Phil Richard Insurance.
Everyone’s got a story. Tell us about you (What’s your background? How did you get here? Where are you hopefully heading?).
I started working for a small agency when I was in high school. A part time after school job has now turned into a career. I have been in the insurance industry for almost 20 years now. When I was pregnant with our second daughter, I though maybe a stay-at-home mom was the job for me. It took less than 6 months to realize I needed contact with the outside world! I love what I do! The Richard family and I found each other in 2017 (with much thanks to Jacqui!) and the rest is history.
What motivates you (causes; any advocacy/activism/initiatives you’re working on, long-term goals, etc.)?
I love working with first time home buyers. Having been there myself, the process is exciting but also overwhelming (not to mention expensive). I like to educate clients on available coverage and hopefully save them money in the process. I coordinate with realtors and mortgage brokers to ensure seamless communication throughout the process. That being said, it is never too late to educate a client or save them money, so I am happy to help at any part of their life journey from their first car/apartment to their forever home.
